INEWSGHANA.COM - GIJ THEFT SAGA
For
about a month or two now, there has been a rampant continual theft reported
cases on the campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
Today,
an arrest took place on the campus following the testimonies of eye witnesses
present who testified to have seen one guy red handedly attempting to steal a
laptop from one lady’s bag (name withheld) from the Executive Lecture Hall B.
Upon
interrogation, the alleged thief first said he came to look for someone and
secondly, he said he came to make enquires about the school.
This
alarmed the curiosity of the students who later wanted to lynch him but the
suspected thief was shielded by the security personnel and the S.R.C president,
His Excellency Noel Nutsugah.
About
an hour later, some police personnel from the Ghana Police Service came to
issue an arrest of the alleged thief, guided and shielded him from the angry
student mob and left the campus in their police car together with the eye
witnesses.
It
has been confirmed that the alleged thief is NOT a student of the Ghana
Institute of Journalism however, it is believed he has a link with a student or
some students of GIJ.
