TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED
Touch not my anointed is
a very popular bible verse. I’m sure everyone has heard it. First of all, I
want us to establish the fact that everyone is anointed and everyone has the anointing
in a different area of life so not all anointed people are preachers. Then, I
want us to also agree that anointing isn’t about the oil but about what the oil
represents. I want to also say that looking at the behavior of most pastors and
preachers of today, they had physical oil poured on them but the main purpose
that the oil was supposed to represent was missing from the whole process. When
you look at the Bible, all anointed people had the Holy Spirit come Upon them.
Most of the preachers of today just have oil without the Holy Spirit.
So if these people are
also claiming touch not my anointed, are they referring to the physical oil or
the presence of the Holy Spirit which is the real anointing? Maybe they have
mistaken the oil for the real thing. So, if we are all anointed to do exploits,
then does “touch not my anointed refer to all of us? Does it refer to only
those who have had oil poured on them or just the preachers? Or to only those
who carry the real anointing which is the Holy Spirit?”.
So then who qualifies to
use that verse? Cos I believe that even a children’s service teacher is
anointed. If u aren’t anointed, u can’t do that job for even a year.
Who
then is the anointed?
