HARMATTAN - DOs AND DON'Ts
So it’s been 12 days since the New Year begun. It’s the season of
harmattan and this season does not present us with the best of weather
conditions. it comes along with some side effects especially when breathing. i
don't like the burning sensations I feel when I breath. I hate turning white
when i bath and I believe you don't like them too. Well here are some tips for
you, especially if you are new in Ghana.

When it comes to harmattan, body lotions are not very reliable when it comes to this season, especially when you don’t want to turn white. They easily dry off within the day and you look almost like you never even applied pomade. I therefore recommend you use creams that contain petroleum gels like Vaseline (not the lotion) or Shear Butter, the widely known pomade used during this period. You could also rely on Ever Sheen Cocoa Butter or Queen Elizabeth Cocoa Butter.
Secondly, breathing becomes dry and makes you feel uneasy; this
weather could cause nasal congestion. It gives you this feeling you get in the
nose after inhaling a nasal decongestant stick (inhaler) but I realized that
when you have this uncomfortable burning sensation in your nostrils, it is best
to either apply Robb or use an inhaler or any other nasal decongestant. You
could even apply Shear Butter.

Harmattan could also make your lips dry and cracked, so this time
around, I suggest you carry your lip balm with you everywhere you go. It really
hurts when your lips are dry and it hurts the more when they are cracked. Dry
lipsticks are not recommended, the oily ones will do you more good.
DISCLAIMER! This is actually my
personal observation. it worked for me and I hope it does same for you.
But I do not take responsibility for any side effects it may come along with.
thank you :)
